Instructors

Nicholas Savery, Sempai is the senior instructor at Marubashi Dojo in Ashland, Massachusetts. Nick has been studying Kyokushin since 1993. He continues to train under the instruction of Shihan Tom Flynn of Stowe, Vermont. Nick received his Shodan (First-degree blackbelt) from Shihan Tom Flynn on October 23rd 2004.


Nick graduated in May 2008 from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a Bachelor's in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is continuing on to earn his Master's in Computer Engineering.



Gennadiy Ravvin, Sempai is the assistant instructor at Marubashi Dojo. He started training Kyokushin karate in Moscow, Russia in 1989 at the age of 15. His training continued until 1993 when he and his family moved to the USA. Gennadiy joined Marubashi Dojo headed by Shihan Tom Flynn and Sensei Toni Flynn in the fall of 2003 and has continued to train under their tutelage since. In April 2007, Gennadiy had an opportunity to visit and train at the original Kyokushin Honbu. He currently holds the rank of Ikkyu.
